Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking a dynamic IT Instructor to deliver structured, full-time training in hardware, software, networking, and security. The role focuses on preparing adult students for entry- to mid-level tech careers and requires adapting instruction to diverse backgrounds.

The instructor will use Per Scholas’ approved curriculum, monitor student progress, and collaborate with program teams to continually evolve course content and career readiness opportunities.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of teaching experience.
• At least 1 year of IT work experience.
• Experience with curriculum, syllabus development, and lesson planning is a plus.
• Ability to explain complex topics to diverse audiences.
• Strong links between real-world work scenarios and classroom delivery.
• Experience with student assessment to evaluate curriculum effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom training in an interactive style for entry-level to mid-level IT roles.
• Provide daily instruction, attendance, and progress monitoring.
• Manage student behavior and program policies consistently with peers.
• Collaborate to evolve the curriculum as new technologies emerge.
• Maintain Salesforce and Canvas with student data and progress notes.
• Advise on career tracks and opportunities aligned with credentials.
