Per Scholas is seeking an IT Support Instructional Assistant for our Los Angeles campus. The IA will support the lead instructor, assist with classroom activities, and help learners develop entry-level IT skills through hands-on teaching.

The role emphasizes in-class and out-of-class tasks, maintaining classroom operations, and effective communication with students and staff. The candidate should be flexible, collaborative, and able to lift 50 lbs as needed.

Qualifications

• CompTIA A+ Certification.
• Ability to teach in a highly interactive and hands-on style.
• Passion for teaching others.
• Flexibility to adapt to changes in schedule.
• Interest in continuous improvement culture.
• Team oriented.
• Highly responsive communicator.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Teaching experience is a plus.
• Must be able to lift 50lbs comfortably.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead instructor in teaching and administration of the class.
• Display knowledge or interest in IT, software/hardware support, network administration, and technology education.
• Grade and review assessments and projects; enter learner grades into LMS.
• Update Salesforce data as necessary; review curriculum materials weekly.
