Job summary

Per Scholas seeks a dynamic, team-oriented Technical Instructor to ensure Per Scholas’ adult students are equipped with the necessary skills for success in entry and mid-level tech careers. The Technical Instructor will deliver Per Scholas’ structured and approved curriculum in full-time technical training.

Per Scholas’ program covers hardware, software, networking, security, server, mobility, virtualization, and project management.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of teaching experience.
• At least 1 year of IT work experience.
• Experience with curriculum, syllabus development and lesson planning.
• Ability to explain complex topics to diverse learners.
• Ability to connect real-life work scenarios to teaching.
• Experience with student assessment and curriculum evaluation.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and adapt to changes in curriculum.

Responsibilities

• Deliver classroom training in an interactive style for entry-level to mid-level IT careers.
• Provide daily instruction, attendance, assessment, tutoring, and progress monitoring.
• Manage student behavior and attendance with peers in learner development.
• Collaborate to evolve curriculum as new technologies become available.
• Maintain Salesforce and Canvas with grades, certifications, and progress notes.
• Create and maintain training curricula for approval.
