Job summary

Thea Energy Inc. is seeking a hands-on Help Desk Support professional in Kearny, NJ, to assist with triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of hardware, software, and network issues for local and remote staff.

You will help deploy laptops, configure accounts in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Active Directory, and document IT procedures. Shift-friendly, on-site role with confidentiality emphasized.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of desktop OS (Windows 10/11, macOS) and core networking concepts (IP addressing, Wi‑Fi troubleshooting, DNS).
• Strong troubleshooting mindset with a logical approach.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain fixes to non-technical users.
• Ability to handle sensitive company data with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Help Desk Support: triage, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and network issues for local and remote employees.
• Device Management: configure, deploy, and maintain laptops, workstations, printers, etc.
• Software & Account Setup: assist with onboarding and offboarding, including accounts in Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Active Directory, etc.
• Documentation: create and update internal IT guides and FAQs.
• Inventory Tracking: maintain inventory of hardware, software licenses, and peripherals.
• Project Assistance: support upcoming IT infrastructure projects (migrations, network upgrades, security audits).
