Job summary

Cohere is seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist based in Toronto to anchor our regional IT operations, serving as the primary contact for internal employees and delivering white-glove technical support while managing identity, collaboration platforms, and SaaS systems.

Beyond day-to-day helpdesk, this role bridges traditional IT support and modern systems engineering, leveraging automation and DevOps practices to streamline user lifecycles, ensure security, and keep our workforce productive.

Qualifications

• 3 to 7 years of experience in help desk or internal IT support.
• Strong experience with supporting user accounts, password resets, MFA, and SSO, specifically with Okta and Google Workspace.
• Experience with Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms such as Iru (macOS) and Microsoft Intune (Windows).
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, Wi-Fi, VPN).
• Comfort supporting employees in Slack and Microsoft 365 tools.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the first point of contact for internal employees, triaging requests.
• Troubleshoot workstation, laptop, mobile, and basic network issues for on-site and remote staff.
• Deliver calm, clear support during high-priority incidents and document work thoroughly.
• Manage onboarding and offboarding workflows, including access provisioning and secure offboarding.
• Build and maintain support procedures and knowledge base articles.
