Job summary

Amazon is seeking an IT Support Engineer II to support, build, and improve technology solutions across sites in a defined geographic area. You will manage large projects, resolve crises, and expand knowledge in AWS technologies and distributed systems.

Qualifications

• 3+ years IT client, server, and network service delivery experience.
• 4+ years IT systems or relevant production environment experience.
• 4+ years of networking experience (DNS, DHCP, SSL, OSI Model, TCP/IP).
• 4+ years of Microsoft administration, Linux administration, or Cisco IOS (CLI) experience.
• 4+ years of troubleshooting in a multi-user high availability environment.
• 4+ years of PC repair, troubleshooting, deployment and liquidation experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting difficult IT problems without SOPs. Planning and coordinating CMs and CM templates.
• Collaborating with internal teams or vendors to execute projects.
• Leading continuous improvement efforts.
• Auditing the quality of work performed and providing constructive feedback.
• Automating manual tasks; creating/improving small tools to help team operations.
• Serving as the first point of escalation.
• Participating in hiring, training and development of others.
• Moving up to 49 lbs and standing/walking during 12-hour shifts.
• Supporting customers from multiple buildings and remote locations.
• Traveling within the local or regional area to support customers.
