Job summary

Prime Electric seeks an IT Help Desk Technician to support our Bellevue area and remote sites. Under general supervision, you will diagnose computer problems, install hardware and software, and respond to service requests.

You will be the first contact for tickets, triage issues, train end-users as needed, and maintain asset inventories. A two-year degree and 1–3 years of related experience are preferred; strong communication and problem‑solving are essential.

Qualifications

• Two‑year degree or equivalent education/experience.
• Strong understanding of how software and operating systems work.
• Excellent listening, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail with ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses computer problems, monitors computer processing systems, installs hardware/software and performs tests on computer equipment and programs.
• Provides technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software and hardware.
• Being the first point of contact for and triaging incoming tickets.
• Responds to questions/helpdesk tickets, whether in person, over the phone or via email.
• Installs workstations and trains end-users on computer use when needed.
• Installs, modifies and repairs computer hardware and software.
• Builds, deploys and cleans-up computers and mobile devices.
• Assists with computer set-up, configuration and troubleshooting for remote jobsites and offices.
• Maintains current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources.
• Complies with internal policies, processes, and procedures; follows PRIME Safety Program.

Education

Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
