Job summary
Crecera Brands, the driving force behind Sportsman’s Guide and other outdoor brands, is seeking an IT Support Engineer in Minneapolis to plan, implement, and maintain IT systems across servers and desktops. You will evaluate and deploy OS updates, manage hardware, and support end users with a proactive, independent approach.
Required: a Bachelor's in IT or equivalent, 3+ years of desktop/hardware support, and virtualization experience (VMware, Vsphere, HorizonView).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent work experience.
- At least three years of desktop hardware and software support.
- Experience with virtualization technologies and server OS deployment.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure platforms is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Manage server and desktop OS deployments and upgrades.
- Install and configure servers, hardware, and storage.
- Lead IT deployments for new server/desktop technology.
- Troubleshoot issues and assist service desk for complex problems.
- Maintain communication until problems are resolved.
- Create strategic roadmaps for systems and manage budgets.
- Collaborate with IT staff to integrate technologies.
- Keep inventory of desktop equipment and licenses.
