Job summary

The U.S. Sentencing Commission is seeking an IT support professional to manage and troubleshoot Windows desktops, provide end-user support for Microsoft 365 apps, and assist with AV, VPN/MFA, and security remediation.

The role requires collaboration with staff to maintain reliable IT services and documentation. Ideal candidates will have strong AD/Networking knowledge, experience with VoIP/Video Conferencing, and an ability to automate routine tasks while ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience provisioning, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting Windows desktops and peripherals.
• Experience providing end-user support for Microsoft 365 apps and services (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with VoIP phones and video teleconferencing equipment.
• Experience supporting VPN, MFA, and secure remote access.
• Experience identifying and remediating cybersecurity vulnerabilities across enterprise IT systems.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file and print services, and access control.
• Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, and firewall configurations.
• Ability to document technical processes and transfer knowledge.
• Experience analyzing IT processes and implementing automation to improve efficiency.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
