Job summary

The City of Jacksonville is seeking a proficient IT Specialist with a strong customer service background to ensure world-class service for our users. The role covers installation, troubleshooting, and support of hardware, software, and peripheral devices across city networks.

Responsibilities include server administration and network operations under the IT Manager, on-call duties, and collaboration with departments to improve systems.

Qualifications

• Education/experience equivalent to a college degree in information technology or related field; 6 months to 2 years IT systems experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair IT systems, hardware, software, and peripherals.
• Develop and operate server administration and network operations.
• Assist with VOIP, security administration and connectivity (door access, cameras, servers).
• Prepare operating procedures and system design recommendations.
• On-call rotation and other duties as required.
