Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana invites student interns to gain hands-on experience in IT service management, supporting daily ITIL processes and ServiceNow workflows. Work closely with the ITSM team to monitor incidents, changes, and knowledge management while learning industry best practices.

This internship requires coursework in CS/ISDS or related field, GPA 2.5+, 20 hours weekly in spring/fall and 30–35 in summer, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Degree program(s): Junior/senior undergrad, Master’s or recent graduate in CS/ISDS/Business/Cybersecurity or related field.
• GPA: 3.0+ preferred; minimum 2.5.
• Relevant IT coursework including ITSM/ITIL concepts and related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Support IT Service Management (ITSM) activities and ITIL processes.
• Gain hands-on experience with Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, and SA/Configuration Management.
• Monitor and support service operations, maintain documentation, and contribute to process improvements while ensuring policy compliance.
