Job summary

Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Louisiana is seeking a university student for a Project Management Internship in Baton Rouge. Under general supervision, you will help define project plans, monitor progress, and track milestones to keep initiatives on time and within budget.

You will work with business owners and SMEs to gather requirements, document processes, and assist in developing artifacts for successful delivery.

Qualifications

• Undergrad junior/senior or recent graduate in a related field.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred; minimum 2.5 GPA.

Responsibilities

• Defines project plans and monitors progress to ensure milestones are met on time and on budget.
• Identifies risk mitigation strategies to resolve problems.
• Contributes to developing best practices, techniques, and tools for project planning and execution.
• Effectively communicate project status, issues and decisions to stakeholders.
• Collaborates with business owners and SMEs to gather requirements and assess business processes.
• Develops project artifacts to support successful, on-time delivery within budget.
• Manages internal and external resources for the life of the project and supports overarching resource planning.
