Job summary

VT Industries is seeking a motivated IT/Service Desk internship candidate who will provide first-line support to end users. You will gather information, diagnose issues, and guide users toward quick, effective resolutions on a range of hardware and software topics.

Ideal applicants are Juniors or Seniors studying IT or MIS, with strong communication, organization, and analytical skills. You will work with desktop techs on-site to resolve outages and assist with licensing and software deployments.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a degree in IT or related field and comfortable in a learning environment.
• Clear communication and strong organizational skills required.
• Ability to analyze information and provide courteous, timely support.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial service desk support via email, phone, and portal.
• Troubleshoot basic LAN/WAN software, desktops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Develop user help sheets and FAQs, document troubleshooting steps.
• Troubleshoot Windows 10 environments and document resolutions.
• Assist in setup of licensing methods and software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe).
• Report outages and collaborate with technicians for on-site needs.
