Job summary

Addison Group is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead enterprise technology initiatives across banking and software development projects. You will drive project delivery from initiation to closure, ensuring scope, schedule, and budget alignment while coordinating with stakeholders and vendors.

This contract role requires a PMP or equivalent, 8+ years' experience in financial services or tech, and strong communication, risk management, and leadership skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
• PMP certification or equivalent project management certification.
• 8+ years of project management experience within financial services, technology, software development, systems integration, or business operations environments.
• Experience managing complex technology initiatives involving software development, vendor implementations, and enterprise systems.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, SDLC, and technology infrastructure concepts.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams within a matrixed organization.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Ability to identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks and issues.
• Must be local to the San Antonio area.

Job Title: IT Project Manager

Location (city, state): San Antonio, Texas

Assignment Type: Contract

Pay: $45 - $50 / hour

Work Schedule: Work flexible hours as needed, including possible weekends.

What You Will Do

Lead and manage enterprise technology projects supporting retail banking systems, software development initiatives, and third-party vendor implementations. You will oversee projects from initiation through completion, ensuring deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.

Partner with business stakeholders, technology teams, and external vendors to define project requirements, create detailed project plans, manage timelines, and drive successful outcomes. Coordinate cross-functional teams, track project dependencies, proactively manage risks and issues, and communicate progress to leadership and stakeholders.

Develop and maintain project schedules, facilitate meetings, prepare status reports, and monitor project performance throughout the project lifecycle. Balance competing priorities while ensuring project quality, stakeholder satisfaction, and adherence to organizational standards.

What We Require

• Strong understanding of business process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives.Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Additional Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures, and project documentation.
• Coordinate project resources and secure commitments from stakeholders and functional managers.
• Track project milestones, dependencies, risks, and action items.
• Facilitate project meetings and document decisions, action items, and outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver executive-level status reports and stakeholder communications.
• Ensure compliance with organizational project management standards, policies, and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support business objectives and project success.
