Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT project management experience
• Experience leading data migration, data conversion, or system modernization initiatives.
• Strong understanding of PM methodologies, lifecycle management, and governance.
• Experience managing vendors, consultants, and cross-functional stakeholder groups.
• Excellent communication, facilitation, and organizational skills.
• PMP certification.
• Experience with ERP, CRM, HRIS, Finance, or other enterprise platform implementations.
• Experience with Agile and Hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Familiarity with database concepts, data structures, system integrations, and cloud-based enterprise applications.

Responsibilities

Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid

Compensation: $65.00-75.00 / Per Hour

Employment Type: 12-month contract with potential extension

Job Description:

• Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of a major data migration workstream.
• Manage scope, schedules, milestones, risks, issues, and project dependencies.
• Develop and maintain project plans, status reporting, and executive communications.
• Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, technical teams, and third-party implementation partners.
• Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and acceptance criteria.

Data Migration & Conversion

• Coordinate data mapping, transformation, validation, and migration activities.
• Lead data quality reviews and facilitate stakeholder approvals.
• Manage mock conversion cycles, testing efforts, and migration readiness activities.
• Oversee cutover planning, rollback procedures, and migration execution.
• Drive issue resolution and ensure alignment between business and technical teams throughout the migration lifecycle.

Governance & Compliance

• Maintain project risk and issue logs and execute mitigation strategies.
• Support quality assurance and user acceptance testing processes.
• Ensure data handling and migration activities comply with organizational security, privacy, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications
