Job summary

Addison Group is hiring an IT Project Manager in Austin, TX. The role blends 2 days remote and 3 days onsite, targeting delivery of enterprise software and IAM-focused initiatives.

You will lead scope, scheduling, risk management, governance, and cross-functional collaboration, coordinating with security, infrastructure, and business teams to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
• 5+ years IT Project Management experience delivering enterprise software or large-scale tech projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, and SDLC practices.
• Experience leading IAM initiatives including RBAC, SSO, MFA, identity governance and lifecycle management.
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to thrive in complex environments with evolving priorities.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage project scope, WBS, and change control processes.
• Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Develop communication plans and provide status reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
• Coordinate project resources, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate quality assurance activities, stage-gate reviews, and UAT.
• Track project progress, deliverables, budgets, and dependencies.
• Coordinate IAM requirements across security, infrastructure, application, and business teams.
• Support RBAC, SSO, MFA initiatives, and identity lifecycle management.
• Oversee integration efforts involving SSO, MFA, and directory services.
• Coordinate identity migration and cutover planning activities.
• Ensure IAM controls align with compliance, security, and audit requirements.

We're hiring an IT Project Manager for a position based in Austin, TX.

Position: IT Project Manager

Location: Austin, TX - Hybrid

Compensation: $65.00-75.00 / Per Hour

Employment Type: 12 month contract with potential extension

Schedule: 2x per week remote, onsite 3x per week

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Define and manage project scope, work breakdown structures (WBS), and change control processes.
• Build and maintain project schedules, milestones, and critical path activities.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.
• Develop communication plans and provide status reporting to stakeholders and leadership.
• Coordinate project resources, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate quality assurance activities, stage-gate reviews, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Track project progress, deliverables, budgets, and dependencies.

Identity & Access Management (IAM)

• Coordinate IAM requirements across security, infrastructure, application, and business teams.
• Support the design and implementation of role-based access control (RBAC) models.
• Lead initiatives related to user provisioning, deprovisioning, and identity lifecycle management.
• Oversee integration efforts involving Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and directory services.
• Facilitate role mapping, access governance, and segregation-of-duties (SoD) reviews.
• Coordinate identity migration and cutover planning activities.
• Ensure IAM controls align with compliance, security, and audit requirements.
• Manage user validation, testing, and governance approval processes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• 5+ years of IT Project Management experience leading enterprise software implementations or large-scale technology projects.
• Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance, and SDLC practices.
• Experience managing Identity & Access Management initiatives, including:
• RBAC
• SSO
• MFA
• Identity governance
• User provisioning and lifecycle management
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing vendor relationships.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to thrive in complex environments with evolving priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP Certification
• Experience with cloud-based enterprise applications and integrations.
• Experience supporting large-scale system implementations or digital transformation initiatives.
• Agile or Hybrid delivery experience.
