Jobtailor is seeking a senior IT Program Manager in Illinois to lead multi-year, cross-functional IT programs from planning through delivery. You will drive scope, budgets, and schedules while coordinating internal teams and external partners to achieve business objectives.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 9 years in IT project management, business systems analysis, or related disciplines
At least 6 years managing multiple concurrent projects and programs
Experience leading delivery through third-party vendors and partners
Expertise in PM methodologies, governance, and delivery best practices
Experience in regulated environments
Proven track record delivering large-scale programs on time and budget
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills
Stakeholder management with senior leadership and executives
Ability to navigate ambiguity and align cross-functional teams
Experience with PLM and/or LIMS is preferred
Knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence
Executive-level communication and presentation skills
Experience leading geographically dispersed teams
10% travel willingness

Responsibilities

Lead planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex IT programs

Job description

Lead planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and delivery of complex, cross-functional IT programs
Establish program goals, objectives, scope, success criteria, and key deliverables with business and IT leadership
Coordinate internal teams, business stakeholders, external vendors, third-party solution integrators, and divisional IT resources
Manage project scope changes, issues, risks, and dependencies and drive timely resolution
Monitor program performance against timelines, budgets, and business objectives and implement corrective actions
Develop and execute project and program plans, secure resources, facilitate lessons learned, and obtain approvals
Communicate status through executive-level reporting, dashboards, and governance reviews
Coordinate and optimize resource allocation across multiple initiatives
Lead, motivate, and mentor cross-functional and cross-divisional teams
Ensure compliance with corporate, divisional, quality, regulatory, and IT policies and procedures
Make decisions regarding project budgets, schedules, resource allocation, and program execution
Deliver solutions supporting business operations, product development, laboratory processes, and enterprise objectives
Support PLM and LIMS capabilities and the organization's digital transformation objectives

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
Minimum of 9 years of experience in IT project management, business systems analysis, solution delivery, or related disciplines
At least 6 years managing multiple, concurrent projects and programs
Experience leading project delivery through third-party vendors, consulting partners, and solution integrators
Expertise in project and program management methodologies, tools, governance frameworks, and delivery best practices
Experience working in regulated environments
Proven track record delivering large-scale, complex programs within business objectives, timelines, and budgets
Excellent communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and leadership skills
Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, including engagement with senior leadership and executive-level stakeholders
Ability to manage competing priorities, navigate ambiguity, and drive alignment across cross-functional and cross-divisional teams
Experience with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and/or Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is strongly preferred
Working knowledge of Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies
Experience with Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence
Executive-level communication and presentation skills
Experience leading cross-functional, geographically dispersed teams
Willingness to travel 10% of the time
