Job summary

Guidehouse is seeking a PMO professional to join our Management Consulting team in Rockville, MD. You will support utility and energy clients on technology implementation projects, helping with planning, tracking, reporting, and governance across multiple workstreams.

The role requires 4+ years in PMO/project controls within the utilities/energy sector, strong communication, and the ability to coordinate with stakeholders. Travel up to 10% and office flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Must be a US Permanent Resident or US Citizen due to client engagement.
• Total years of experience must include 4+ years of PMO or project controls in Utilities/Energy.
• Experience supporting technology implementation projects in regulated industries preferred.
• Strong PMO methodologies, governance, and lifecycle management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide PMO support to utility and energy provider clients on technology implementation projects.
• Support project planning, tracking, reporting, and governance across multiple workstreams.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, RAID logs, action items, and status reports.
• Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, capture decisions, and follow up on actions.
• Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to drive execution.
• Monitor progress, identify risks/dependencies, and assist with mitigation planning/governance.
• Support process improvements to strengthen PMO practices and delivery consistency.
• Contribute to clear, effective communication across internal teams and client stakeholders.
