Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a multi platform/vendor fast paced environment.
• Knowledge of IBM Mainframe Z114, ZOS, TSO, JES2 and CICS.
• Familiarity with Computer Associates products, TLMS, Dispatch and Scheduler.

Responsibilities

• Organize and process input data in an orderly and logical sequence, enabling efficient running of multiple jobs.
• Observe ongoing operations processes, analyze computer performance and identify systems or equipment malfunctions and take appropriate action by contacting the needed support.
• Make required log entries in system control books during job execution and compare data for continuity and decision making.
• Initiate corrective action for failed devices, systems and applications.
• Log operating time, downtime, and related data; perform notifications via paging tools and conference bridge if needed.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on computer, printers and related devices and refer unusual hardware problems to manager.
