Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Computer Operations professional to organize input data and process scheduled jobs under the direction of the Lead Computer Operator. You will ensure timely execution per predefined schedules, log operational data, and coordinate problem notifications with on-call teams.

Responsibilities include monitoring computer performance, initiating corrective actions, maintaining up-to-date procedures, and providing after-hours support to IT and Field Service teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a multi-platform vendor environment (fast-paced).
• Knowledge of mainframe and system operations concepts referenced (TSO/JES2/CICS not mandatory but related).
• Ability to read processing schedules and adjust as needed.

Responsibilities

• Organize and process input data in sequence to run multiple jobs efficiently.
• Observe operations, analyze performance and address malfunctions with appropriate support.
• Log entries during job execution and decide continuation based on control data.
