Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. is seeking a Computer Operator in King of Prussia, PA. You will monitor IBM iSeries systems, servers, and OpenLink interfaces in the Corporate Data Center and provide first-level end-user support.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years of related experience.
Basic knowledge of IBM System i and Windows-based PCs/servers.
Familiar with networking basics.
Proficient with Word, Excel and Outlook.
Strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

Monitors operation of all servers, hosts systems and network components to ensure proper functioning and availability to end-users.
Utilizes various monitoring tools and reviews system console messages, event logs and alerts.
Responds to error conditions by entering commands or mounting storage media per procedures.
Provides first-level support for connectivity, interfaces, printing issues and logon problems.
Mounts and unloads backup media to complete backup/restore operations.
Assists BRMS management of tapes and backup media and related logs and manifests.
