Job summary

Multnomah County seeks an experienced IT Supervisor to oversee the MCDA Network Operations team, including Help Desk and Systems Administration. Lead a collaborative, service‑oriented group that supports the District Attorney’s Office and county partners from the downtown courthouse.

You will coach staff, manage incidents, and align IT efforts with department goals while partnering with County IT and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–6 years IT support/systems administration; OR 7–10 years equivalent.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Proven ability to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.

Responsibilities

• Lead Help Desk and Systems Administration staff.
• Coach, train, and support staff performance and development.
• Participate in recruitment, interviews, and candidate evaluations.
• Establish schedules and ensure coverage for critical IT functions.
• Monitor ticket queues to ensure timely service delivery.
• Improve work processes and procedures for efficiency.
• Assess policies, identify gaps, and recommend improvements.
• Investigate issues and support resolution.
• Represent IT in cross-department collaborations.
