Job summary

Harbinger, an American EV company in California, is hiring an IT Operations Manager to lead end-user support, on-call coverage, and service levels as the team scales. The role oversees IT across offices, engineering, and manufacturing environments and drives the service desk and AV systems.

The candidate will manage a team, define SLAs, and collaborate with Cybersecurity on access reviews and audits, while shaping IT operations to keep our people and facilities productive.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in IT operations or support.
• 3+ years managing a team with direct reports, on-call rotations, and performance reviews.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and develop IT Specialists and Administrators; conduct 1-on-1s and reviews.
• Run day-to-day IT support across office, engineering, and manufacturing environments with site/shift coverage.
• Define and report on SLAs for response and resolution with production-focused targets.
• Lead IT on-call, including rotation, escalation paths, runbooks, and after-hours coverage.
• Administer core collaboration systems (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, Jira, Confluence) including licensing and support.
• Maintain conference rooms/AV systems (Zoom Rooms, Logitech, Neat, displays, scheduling panels).
• Build out Serval service desk, including catalog, workflows, automations, and knowledge base.
• Handle onboarding/offboarding IT aspects and full device/asset lifecycle.
• Manage IT operations budget and vendor support; partner with Cybersecurity on access reviews and audits.
• Report SLA performance, on-call activity, and trends to IT leadership.
