Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an IT Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day IT functions, ensuring system integrity and on-time project delivery.

You will own server, network, and cloud infrastructure projects, guide admins, and develop SOPs for upgrades and migrations, while maintaining risk controls and compliance.

The role requires strong leadership, security awareness, and hands-on expertise in Windows/Linux, cloud platforms, and automation, with occasional after-hours support.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in IT with 2+ years in system administration.
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
• AWS, Cisco, Dell-EMC, Microsoft, VMWare, CISSP, Dynatrace, Palo Alto certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of server, network, and cloud infrastructure projects.
• Direct daily tasks of system admins to ensure on-time operations.
• Create and enforce Standard Operating Procedures for upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
• Final sign-off on Risk Assessments and IT CAB approvals.
• Manage technical discovery phase and emergency escalations during failures.
