Job summary

Socket.dev in New York seeks an experienced IT professional to own day-to-day IT operations and support a small tech team. You will be the first point of contact for IT issues, and you’ll collaborate closely with developers to test, validate, and resolve problems.

You will manage Microsoft 365, vendor communications, and JIRA tickets while documenting configurations and runbooks for ongoing stability and growth.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 and user/email account management.
• Familiarity with JIRA or similar ticketing tools; strong communication with vendors.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day IT support requests — M365 account setups, email configuration, access and permissions, hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for IT vendor communication — hosting, infrastructure, and software vendors.
• Maintain JIRA hygiene on IT and development tickets: creation, grooming, and status accuracy.
• Work hands-on alongside our developers — supporting testing and validation, executing test cases, and tracking issues.
• Track and follow up on open IT tickets and requests, keeping response times tight.
• Maintain IT systems documentation — access lists, configurations, runbooks — keeping it current.
