Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Sr. Infrastructure Engineer to lead enterprise infrastructure initiatives, align roadmaps with business objectives, and mentor engineering teams.

You will drive multi-cloud strategies, automation, and compliance across Windows Server, AD/Intune, and SQL/M365 ecosystems. Ideal candidates bring strong leadership, deep networking and security expertise, and hands-on experience with VMware, IaC, and cloud platforms (Azure preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS required with 4–6 years of relevant experience.
• Mastery of enterprise networking, security, and infrastructure architecture.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Python).

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture standards and oversee implementation across environments.
• Lead multi-site infrastructure planning, capacity forecasting, and lifecycle management.
• Govern VMware ESXi/vSphere architecture and automation for disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Establish standards for Windows Server environments, AD, Intune/Azure Policy, DNS/DHCP, and patch management.
• Set strategy for network architecture and security frameworks, including zero-trust adoption.
