Job summary

Inspire Communities in the United States seeks a Director of IT Operations to lead the IT operations function, including networking, helpdesk, systems administration, and asset management. You will work hands-on with a 3-person team and coordinate with vendors to ensure high availability and strong customer service for staff across communities.

The role requires proactive leadership, outstanding problem solving, and the ability to manage complex projects from planning through execution.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Service Operations: Supervise, hire, and mentor a 3-person IT Operations team in a hands-on capacity, overseeing internal helpdesk support and vendor performance to meet KPIs and SLAs.
• Hardware & Desktop Management: Maintain and support end-user hardware and enforce OS patching and software deployment routines.
• Server & Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and maintain enterprise server environments and cloud systems (Microsoft Azure), including backups and disaster recovery.
• Network Administration & Security: Manage switches, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi; maintain security posture.
• Telecommunications & Communications: Direct and optimize VoIP and telecom systems, including mobile fleet management.
• IT Asset Management & Compliance: Manage hardware/software lifecycle and licensing; ensure compliance.
• Security Governance & Threat Response: Implement security controls and respond to alerts with external partners.
• Project Leadership: Lead end-to-end technology projects, create roadmaps, and drive automations and integrations.
• Continuous Innovation: Identify and implement administration automations to reduce overhead and costs.
