Job summary

Thames Valley Council for Community Action is seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our Information Services team at the Tyson's Corner HQ in Vienna, VA. You will support internal IT operations, assist with incident response, and ensure smooth user productivity across the organization.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in IT support, strong Windows Server and Microsoft 365 administration skills, Active Directory experience, and a solid understanding of networking basics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft 365 Fundamentals advantageous.
• Ongoing pursuit of IT certifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in day-to-day IT operations and monitor incidents.
• Maintain system performance and health using monitoring tools (PRTG, FortiSIEM).
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
• Manage user accounts, passwords, and permissions (Active Directory).
• Configure laptops/desktops and image laptops for users.
• Support network connectivity and VPN issues.
• Document procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps.
• Assist with server and software updates, patches, and backups.
