Job summary

Texas Sports Academy in Austin, TX is hiring an IT Support Specialist to assist the IT Operations Manager and keep our device program running on campus. This in-person role is ideal for a new grad starting a career in IT support.

You will image and deploy MacBook Neos, manage accounts, apply security settings, and handle shipping, inventory, and first-line user support for students and staff.

Qualifications

• Hands-on IT support exposure through internships, help desk work, campus IT roles, coursework, or personal projects.
• Working experience with macOS deployment and management, and comfort supporting iOS or comparable mobile devices.
• Hands-on experience with Apple Business Manager, Jamf, Kandji, Mosyle, or a comparable platform.
• This role requires regular physical work, including receiving shipments, lifting boxes, organizing inventory, and packaging for outbound shipping.
• Strong customer service orientation with students and parents, especially during device failures before class.
• Attention to detail in inventory, shipments, and device assignments.
• Familiarity with AI tools used to streamline communications and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Support the IT Operations Manager on daily execution, taking ownership of tasks.
• Image and deploy MacBook Neos, install standard software, configure user accounts, and enforce security before devices ship.
• Receive shipments, log serial numbers, maintain inventory, and ship laptops to schools, coaches, and staff across Texas.
• Process returned or end-of-life devices, wipe and reimage for redeployments, retire when needed.
• Serve as first point of contact for students and staff with device issues; escalate when needed.
• Maintain device tracking, ticket notes, and internal documentation.
