Job summary

American National Bank & Trust is seeking an IT Assistant to support the IT Director and team in daily operations, procurement, asset management, and end-user support. This role helps ensure reliable IT services and accurate records across the department.

You will assist with project tasks, coordinate with vendors, maintain inventories, and provide basic technical help to staff while upholding security and compliance standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor's degree in information technology or related field preferred.
• Proven experience in administrative support roles, preferably in an IT environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer service-oriented approach.
• Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and other common business applications.
• Familiarity with IT service management tools (e.g., help desk software) is a plus.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to the IT Director and team.

• Assist with planning and executing IT projects; track tasks and timelines.
• Oversee IT asset inventory; tag, track, and audit equipment.
• Coordinate equipment procurement and vendor communications; maintain records.
• Prepare and submit IT expense reports and document contracts.
