Job summary

Chester Co. Schools seeks a Technology Support Technician to install and maintain computer hardware and software, resolve operational concerns, and provide in-service training and documentation.

The role involves diagnosing complex network issues, upgrading devices, and ensuring safe district and classroom operations. Familiarity with CCNA and MCITP or other Microsoft certifications is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses hardware and software malfunctions to maintain operations.
• Diagnoses network and infrastructure problems to keep district operations running.
• Installs hardware, peripherals, network equipment and software for safe operation.
• Prepares work orders and inventory documents for written support and information.
• Repairs computers and network equipment to maintain safe, functional operations.
• Transports equipment and supplies to job sites or repair locations.
• Upgrades computers, peripherals, and software to meet user needs.
• Assists other staff to support them in their work activities.
• Attends meetings to convey and gather information needed to perform functions.
• Develops skills toward higher level network support.
