Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supervisor, IT Network Infrastructure for the 2nd shift to lead technician teams installing and maintaining mission-critical telecommunications systems across spaceflight programs.

You will prioritize work, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of projects at SpaceX sites including Hawthorne, McGregor, Vandenberg, and Cape Canaveral. Previous leadership and strong cabling expertise are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of telecommunications systems experience.
• 2+ years of leadership or supervision experience.
• Knowledge of low voltage cabling, fiber, and data cabling standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technician teams to install and maintain mission critical communication systems.
• Prioritize and schedule work to meet required timelines.
• Provide feedback and progress updates to project stakeholders.
• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary.
• Coordinate with other contractors and project teams as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers in system designs and documentation creation.
• Interface with external carriers at cross-connect facilities and transition points.
• Provide QA and auditing before and after work.
• Maintain documentation of installations including assets and connectivity.
• Assist in development of installation and workmanship standards.
• Provide ongoing feedback and corrective action to team members.
• Review timesheets and manage overtime and leave requests.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and SpaceX safety requirements.
• Assist in evaluating candidates for open positions in the team.
• Travel up to 25% to Hawthorne, McGregor, Vandenberg, Cape Canaveral.
