Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supervisor, IT Network Infrastructure (1st shift) to lead field teams responsible for installing and maintaining critical production and launch communications systems at SpaceX facilities.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive telecom wiring and fiber knowledge, and hands-on problem solving to ensure timely, compliant operations across multiple mission areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
• 5+ years of telecommunications systems experience.
• 2+ years prior leadership experience (leading teams, projects or people).

Responsibilities

• Supervise technician teams to install and maintain mission critical communication systems
• Prioritize and schedule work to meet required timelines
• Provide feedback and progress updates to project stakeholders
• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary
• Coordinate with other contractors and project teams as needed
• Collaborate with the communication engineers and telecommunication specialist in system designs, selection of materials, and creation of documentation
• Interface with external carriers (private and government) at cross-connect facilities, and transition points
• Provide superior customer service to SpaceX launch customers
• Provide QA and auditing before and after work
• Maintain the integrity of the documentation of all installations including assets, locations, connectivity, and the patch record databases
• Assist with the creation of local and companywide installation and workmanship standards
• Provide ongoing feedback, periodic review, and corrective action to direct reports
• Review timesheets, manage overtime and time off requests
• Verify compliance with OSHA regulations and SpaceX safety requirements
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of candidates for open positions in the team
