Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Supervisor, IT Network Infrastructure for the 2nd shift to lead technicians installing and maintaining mission-critical telecom systems across production, launch, and mission support environments at Hawthorne, CA. You’ll prioritize work, coordinate with teams, and ensure safety and documentation.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom, 2+ years leadership, deep knowledge of low-voltage cabling, fiber, network protocols, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 5+ years in telecommunications systems experience.
• 2+ years leadership experience (leading teams, projects or people).

Responsibilities

• Supervise technician teams to install and maintain mission critical communication systems
• Prioritize and schedule work to meet required timelines
• Provide feedback and progress updates to project stakeholders
• Evaluate, diagnose, troubleshoot cabling infrastructure systems and perform repairs as necessary
• Coordinate with other contractors and project teams as needed
• Collaborate with the communication engineers and telecommunication specialist in system designs, selection of materials, and creation of documentation
• Interface with external carriers at cross-connect facilities and transition points
• Provide QA and auditing before and after work
• Maintain documentation of all installations including assets, locations, connectivity, and patch records
• Assist with creation of installation and workmanship standards
• Provide ongoing feedback and corrective action to direct reports
• Review timesheets, manage overtime and time off requests
• Verify compliance with OSHA regulations and SpaceX safety requirements
• Assist in evaluation and selection of candidates for open positions in the team
