Job summary

The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is seeking an IT Manager I in Carson City, Las Vegas, or Reno, NV. The role leads Field Services and Help Desk, directing IT staff and coordinating with agency leadership on IT projects and security policies.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in CS or MIS with at least five years of IT experience and two years in a supervisory or project management capacity.

Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree in CS or MIS and 5 years IT experience with PM, QA, ops, sys/network/db or apps analysis/development.
• Two years in supervisory or project manager capacity or equivalent.
• Develop and enforce operational standards per policy.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct, and control IT activities in one or more IT specialization areas for the State, a department, or a division.
• Develop, maintain, and enforce operational standards in accordance with departmental and State policies.
• Provide strategic direction, set priorities, approve work plans, and ensure staff have resources to meet service expectations.
• Coordinate help desk and field support functions.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, change management requirements, and IT operational guidelines.
• Collaborate with peer managers and agency leadership on IT projects, system upgrades, and initiatives with organizational impact.
• Maintain knowledge of IT trends and security practices; develop staffing and resource allocation.
