Job summary

TMSA Public Charter Schools in Apex, NC seeks an IT Intern to provide entry-level technical support to campus staff and students under supervision. Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or a recent graduate of, a high school, community college, or university program in information technology, computer science, or a related field.
• Basic working knowledge of Windows and/or Chrome OS operating systems.
• Demonstrated interest in technology support, troubleshooting, or systems administration.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and to ask for direction when a task falls outside assigned scope.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and professional communication skills appropriate for interacting with staff, students, and families.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding student and staff information.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

• Hardware and Device Support: Imaging, configuration, labeling, and deployment of student and staff devices (Chromebooks, laptops, desktops, tablets).
• Help Desk and Ticket Support: Respond to assigned support tickets under supervision and provide first‑tier assistance to staff and students.
• Inventory and Documentation: Maintain campus technology asset inventory, including serial numbers and repair status.
• Event and Classroom Technology Support: Set up and break down technology for testing windows, assemblies, staff meetings, and campus events.
• General: Maintain a professional, service‑oriented demeanor and comply with policies.
