Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools is seeking a technology associate to support technology-assisted instruction on-site. Under supervision, you will assist students, teachers, staff, and parents in using technology and equipment.

You will handle basic device deployment and troubleshooting, manage helpdesk tickets, collaborate with teachers and the Technology Services team, and help ensure compliance with district tech policies.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in education, technology, or related field required.
• Equivalent combination of experience and education.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic technical support to school computers, tablets, network, AV equipment, student and staff devices, and printers/copiers.
• Assist staff with submitting helpdesk tickets and follows up as needed.
• Issue, distribute, manage, verify, and collect student devices each school year.
• Inspect computer equipment regularly; perform minor repairs on equipment if needed; arrange for major repairs on equipment.
• Collaborate with teachers and technology staff in selection of resources compatible with the school technology infrastructure.
• Assist with the implementation of computer assisted instructional programs.
• Monitor and assist students and teachers in the use of the computer.
• Enforce the Internet Acceptable Use Policy and related documents for staff and students.
• Attend professional development and other meetings.
