Job summary

AMERISAFE in DeRidder, LA is seeking a detail-oriented IT support specialist for a part-time, temporary role within our Information Technology department. You will install, diagnose, repair, maintain, and upgrade workstation hardware and peripherals, and provide end-user training as needed.

You will respond to service requests, troubleshoot issues, and document activities while collaborating with IT teams to deliver high-quality software and infrastructure support.

Qualifications

• Enrollment in an associate or bachelor's program preferred.
• Hands-on hardware/software troubleshooting experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of networks, operating systems, and standards.
• Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
• Ability to assemble and configure computers and peripherals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Customer-service orientation and collaborative attitude.
• Willing to support IT teams across development, QA, support, and infra.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Service copiers and printers by changing toners and fuser assemblies.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end user workstation hardware and peripherals.
• Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot associated end user workstation software.
• Maintain computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, and other peripherals.
• Document all support activities per approved policies and procedures.
• Participate in and support a highly collaborative development environment.
• Assist senior development staff in pursuit of development objectives.
• Position may require additional duties as assigned.
