Job summary

Holland & Knight, based in the Tampa, FL area, seeks an IT Instructional Designer to design and deliver innovative learning programs across classroom, virtual, mobile and eLearning formats. The role partners with SMEs and stakeholders to develop engaging modules, quick references, and short video content for internal use.

You will create storyboards, write materials, and stay current with trends in eLearning and mobile delivery, while ensuring adherence to design standards and templates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years’ experience as an Instructional Designer/Developer in a corporate or consulting environment.
• Previous law firm experience a significant plus.
• Translate complex technology concepts into simple content.
• Creative approach to learning design that engages target audiences.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written).
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Solid technical skills and problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently and with SMEs/stakeholders.
• Experience developing learning content for mobile devices.
• Self-starter with scheduling and deadline discipline.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with SMEs or internal team to design and implement learning solutions.
• Support Training Team in creating and delivering training courses.
• Transform ideas into engaging learning programs.
• Develop short engaging video courses and product commercials.
• Create storyboards for eLearning including scripts, visuals, and interactive elements.
• Develop written materials like quick reference guides and user communications.
• Stay current on eLearning and mobile learning trends and update skills.
• Establish guidelines for instructional design and content development.
• Provide feedback to improve instructional delivery.
• Create and maintain course templates and ensure design standards.
• Stay aware of new instructional design technologies for potential adoption.
• Handle special projects and additional duties as assigned.
