Job summary

Velaura AI, Inc. seeks an experienced Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations to own compute, storage, security, and dev support end-to-end.

You will lead and grow the IT team, set a 12–24 month architecture direction, and stay hands-on in major decisions including storage scaling and DR planning. You will drive IAM and access controls, disaster recovery testing, and security reviews, balancing controls with engineering velocity to support a fast-growing company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT infrastructure leadership and 5+ years leading infra/ops teams
• Scaled IT environments through rapid growth and organizational change
• Strong Linux and engineering compute background; deep cloud experience (Azure, GCP, or AWS)
• Hands-on in enterprise networking, storage, virtualization, DR
• Experience implementing IAM, MFA, endpoint management, logging and security controls
• Operational layer expertise: service desk, asset management, budgets, vendor contracts, capacity planning

Responsibilities

• Forecast and optimize infrastructure for compute-intensive workloads (EDA, RTL, verification, tape-out)
• Own CI/CD at scale, self-hosted runners, and multi-architecture builds; manage registries and reproducible environments
• Architect and operate multi-cloud and on-prem infrastructure; capacity planning for compute, storage, bandwidth, licenses
• Lead IP security initiatives including SOC 2/ISO 27001 readiness and secure key handling
• Oversee IT infrastructure and facilities security, remote access, power, cooling, and rack space
• Build onboarding/offboarding, role-based access, and a responsive service desk with SLAs
• Own OpEx/CapEx, cloud FinOps, vendor contracts, and team growth
