Job summary

Velaura seeks an experienced Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations to own compute, storage, security, and the teams that run them. You will set a 12–24 month architecture direction, guide capacity planning, and drive vendor negotiations while staying hands-on with major IT decisions.

Responsibilities include leading engineering compute for EDA workloads, CI/CD at scale, hybrid cloud and on-prem environments, and building security programs for design IP.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT infrastructure with leadership experience.
• Strong Linux and engineering compute background across multiple clouds.
• Experience building security controls, IAM, and audit readiness.

Responsibilities

• Engineering compute: forecast and optimize infrastructure for compute-intensive workloads; manage Linux HPC, schedulers, and large shared storage.
• Software infrastructure: own CI/CD at scale, runners, and multi-architecture build farms; implement Kubernetes for internal tooling.
• Hybrid infrastructure: architect Azure, AWS, GCP, on-prem, and cloud-vs-on-prem decisions; capacity planning.
• IP security: lead security programs, IAM, MFA, encryption, vulnerability management, and SOC2/ISO27001 readiness.
• IT Infrastructure and facilities: secure segmentation, lab access controls, and remote access for distributed teams.
• Employee technology: onboarding/offboarding, role-based access, and service desk with SLAs.
• Budget and team: manage OpEx/CapEx, cloud FinOps, vendor contracts, and grow the IT team.
