Job summary

The Vertex Companies LLC is seeking a Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations to scale global technology operations in a hybrid delivery model. This role reports to the CTO and leads a distributed team across the US, UK, and UAE, focusing on infrastructure, cloud, security operations, and end-user services.

The role requires deep technical depth, strong program execution, and leadership maturity to drive cost efficiency and measurable business value across time zones.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 12 years of related experience, or a Master’s degree and 8 years, with at least 5 in management.
• Proven experience leading onshore and offshore teams.
• Experience with MSP and hybrid-team builds.
• Hands-on expertise across Microsoft 365 / E5, Azure, enterprise networking, and endpoint management.
• Track record delivering complex IT projects and M&A integrations on time and budget.
• Experience supporting SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a global hybrid IT organization including onshore, offshore, and MSP partner teams.
• Partner with executive leadership to align technology with business goals.
• Own IT project and program portfolio with budgeting and governance.
• Drive cloud transformation, cybersecurity enhancements, and digital modernization.
• Develop KPIs, dashboards, and executive tech reporting.
• Manage vendor contracts and service level agreements.
