Job summary

Form Energy is scaling quickly across research, engineering, and manufacturing, and the Director of IT Operations owns the infrastructure, end‑user services, networks, identity, and endpoint fleet that keep the company running across four U.S. sites.

You will build a lean, metrics‑driven IT operation with audit‑ready controls, lead a distributed team across MA, CA, and WV, and partner with Cybersecurity, GRC, and external auditors to deliver reliable services in a fast‑paced hardware environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in IT with 5+ years leading IT operations across multiple sites.
• Operational maturity across identity, endpoint, network, and cloud (Microsoft 365 / Azure).
• Experience operating IT controls in a compliance‑intensive environment and producing audit evidence.
• Track record building lean, metrics‑driven IT operations with high service levels.
• Strong people leadership of distributed teams and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Own core IT infrastructure and identity services, including tenant infrastructure, licensing compliance, and endpoint integration; oversee SSO and SCIM provisioning.
• Lead the endpoint fleet management across Windows and macOS; manage the service catalog and device policies.
• Direct networking across sites (LAN/WAN/WLAN) and partner with manufacturing controls on the IT/OT boundary.
• Own service desk, procurement, and IT asset/inventory management; define SLAs and drive customer‑service focus across sites.
• Mature IT operations disciplines: incident, problem, change management; monitoring, backups, runbooks; on‑call readiness.
• Manage IT controls, work with Cybersecurity & GRC and auditors; produce audit‑ready evidence.
