Job summary

The HT Group is seeking a proactive Senior Director of IT Infrastructure & Operations to lead enterprise infrastructure, security, service desk, and field engineering. You will shape strategy, build capabilities, and establish clear ownership across technology functions in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates bring significant leadership experience in infrastructure and DevOps, with a track record of building or maturing technical teams and operating models.

Qualifications

• Significant leadership experience overseeing enterprise infrastructure and operations teams.
• Strong technical background in networking, infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or related.
• Experience building or restructuring technical teams and operating models.
• Experience building out DevOps function from scratch (Azure).
• Understanding of platform-as-a-service concepts and modern infrastructure delivery.
• Ability to evaluate ambiguous organizational challenges and craft practical solutions.
• Strong organizational design, change leadership, and cross-functional communication.
• Proven ability to operate independently and drive initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the strategy for enterprise infrastructure and operations.
• Help build and mature an internal platform-as-a-service capability.
• Establish and grow a DevOps function, including defining the appropriate team structure, responsibilities, and operating model.
• Lead teams responsible for security, service desk operations, field engineering, and other infrastructure-related functions.
• Assess the current structure of network and field technical teams and recommend where these functions should sit within the organization.
• Clarify roles, responsibilities, and ownership across infrastructure and operations teams.
• Evaluate the organization's audiovisual support needs and recommend the appropriate structure and reporting alignment for that function.
• Identify gaps in capabilities, processes, staffing, and organizational design, and develop plans to address them.
• Improve coordination and accountability across technology teams.
• Partner with technology leadership and other stakeholders to align infrastructure priorities with broader organizational needs.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and direction to both managers and technical teams.
• Proactively identify opportunities and drive initiatives without requiring significant day-to-day direction.

Senior Director, IT Infrastructure & Operations

Position Overview

We are seeking a proactive, strategic Senior Director of Infrastructure & Operations to lead and evolve several critical technology functions. This individual will be responsible for strengthening the infrastructure organization, building new capabilities, and establishing clear team structures and ownership across infrastructure, security, service desk, and field engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation in networking, infrastructure, and/or DevOps rather than a career primarily rooted in end-user support. This leader must be comfortable assessing the current environment, identifying priorities, and independently driving organizational and technical improvements.

• Experience leading multiple technology functions through direct and indirect reporting relationships.
• Ability to evaluate ambiguous organizational challenges and create practical, clearly defined solutions.
• Strong organizational design, change leadership, and cross-functional communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to operate independently, establish priorities, and move initiatives forward.
