Job summary

The State of Ohio is hiring an Infrastructure Specialist Associate in Columbus. This role provides end-user support, assists with reports, and helps install, configure, and maintain hardware and software within a designated IT domain.

The position offers full-time, permanent employment with standard 8:00 AM–5:00 PM hours, and requires travel across Ohio as needed. Background checks and drug testing are part of the process.

Qualifications

• 18 months' combined work experience and/or training in a single technology domain or related areas.
• Completion of IT Apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
• Associate degree or core program in computer science or information systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide answers and technical solutions to end users to meet business needs.
• Assist in producing reports for the center as required.
• Learn installation, maintenance, configuration, upgrading and administration of hardware and software within a domain.
• Develop and maintain documentation and knowledge bases.
• Support Tier II–III customer support and mentorship to peers.
• Diagnose and resolve issues for assigned technology domain.
• Manage user access, accounts and software upgrades.
• Stay updated on technology standards and security practices.
