Job summary

Prudent Technology LLC is seeking an IT Technician to image devices, refurbish, and manage assets for a federal client. The role is on-site in Beltsville, MD, requiring ability to lift up to 50 pounds and pass a Public Trust background check.

You will work with ITSM systems, coordinate warranty repairs, and stage devices for deployment in a warehouse setting. Ideal candidates have 2+ years in imaging, asset management, and hardware support, plus strong documentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree in IT preferred.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in device imaging, end-user hardware support, IT asset management, or IT depot environment.
• Experience deploying Windows OS to devices at volume.
• PC hardware troubleshooting, component replacement, and BIOS configuration.
• Experience using ITSM or asset management systems to record work and maintain data.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on-site full-time in Beltsville, MD.

Responsibilities

• Apply Windows images to laptops, desktops, and tablets using lite-touch imaging.
• Operate imaging benches to meet daily targets up to 300 devices.
• Troubleshoot imaging failures and escalate to Imaging Lead.
• Evaluate returned devices for refurbishment or excess.
• Repair components and coordinate OEM warranty repairs.
• Image refurbished devices for redeployment per procedures.
• Kit devices with accessories and prepare for shipment or deployment.
• Update asset status, location, and warranty data in ITSM within two business days.
• Review work orders and escalate unresolved tickets to the Federal lead.
• Stage devices for picking, shipping, or deployment.
• Support receiving, inventory, and related warehouse activities.
• Operate warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, scanners, etc.).
• Follow OSHA safety standards and report concerns.
• Complete required federal training and cross-train in a backup function.
