Job summary

Prudent Technology LLC is seeking a Senior IT Technician to serve as the technical lead for device imaging, refurbishment, and hardware triage. The role involves resolving image failures, coordinating OEM warranty repairs, and mentoring technicians on depot procedures, with advanced Windows deployment experience and strict on-site requirements in Beltsville, MD.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s in IT preferred.
• 5+ years in device imaging, hardware support, or IT depot.
• Advanced Windows deployment troubleshooting at scale.
• Component-level repair of laptops, desktops, tablets.
• Experience coordinating OEM warranty repairs and returns.
• Experience leading or mentoring technical staff.
• Experience using ITSM/asset management systems.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• On-site in Beltsville, MD with 8:30 AM–2:00 PM receiving window.
• US Citizen required.

Responsibilities

• Lead device imaging operations using standard Windows images for laptops, desktops, and tablets.
• Coordinate multi-bench batch imaging to meet daily targets up to 300 devices.
• Diagnose and resolve complex image failures, driver issues, and deployment errors.
• Lead initial technical evaluation of returned devices and determine refurbishment eligibility.
• Perform component-level repair on devices; route non-warranty repair requests appropriately.
• Coordinate OEM warranty repairs end-to-end; escalate as needed.
• Oversee refurbishment imaging and kitting to ensure shipment readiness.
• Update asset records and ensure data integrity in ITSM systems.
