Job summary

The Kenaitze Indian Tribe is seeking a Helpdesk Technician to provide first-line IT support for desktops, laptops, printers and related peripherals. The Technician will respond to end-user requests, use remote tools, and log incidents under the supervision of the Systems Manager.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, basic understanding of computer systems and mobile devices, and a valid Alaska driver's license. Preference for CompTIA A+/Network+ and Microsoft certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Understanding of computer systems, mobile devices and basic tech issues.
• Experience with help desk ticketing systems is preferred.
• Alaska driver license is required and must be insurable.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone technical support as the first level of contact.
• Use remote support tools to assist end users with issues.
• Apply basic diagnostic techniques to identify problems and propose solutions.
• Escalate properly to the next level of support when needed.
• Install, configure, test, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, printers, scanners and other peripherals.
• Track and document issue resolution in the ticketing system.
• Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution.
• Manage user accounts in Active Directory.
