Job summary

Hoffman Construction in Lake Oswego, OR is seeking an IT Helpdesk Support Technician to provide direct support for 1200+ users, covering desktops, laptops, mobile devices, networking, printing, file sharing and conference room AV. This on-site, full-time role emphasizes prompt problem resolution, courteous communication, and solid troubleshooting.

Training is provided; candidates with 1–2 years of experience and strong English skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1-2 years of helpdesk or IT support experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in MS Office and Windows; hardware troubleshooting.
• Familiar with ticketing systems; strong problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Receive technical support requests from internal users via phone, email, and online ticketing system.
• Provide first-level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software and applications problems.
• Escalate problems as appropriate following HD procedures.
• Act as a liaison between users and internal support staff to assure accurate problem interpretation.
• Maintain communications with users during the problem resolution process.
• Increase productivity by improving knowledge and troubleshooting procedures.
• Assist on special projects as required. Training will be provided.
