Job summary

HDR is seeking an IT Support Specialist in Portland, OR to join our employee-owners. You’ll apply technology to address business needs, assist staff with computing resources, and deliver proactive, friendly support across the organization to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.

The role requires an Associate’s degree or equivalent experience, at least one year in PC/network/server support, strong Windows/Office skills, and the ability to work on-site with on-call flexibility.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Computer Science/MIS-related area or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in technical support of PC, networks and servers.
• Excellent working knowledge of personal computer and peripherals.
• Experience in systems operations and maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Windows 7/10/365 and Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Self-starter able to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Schedule & Presence: on-site role supports 24/7 operations with standard shifts and on-call flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Apply technology to address business needs and constraints.
• Assist staff to achieve efficient and effective use of computing technology and maximize utilization of computer resources.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting on complicated IT issues.
• Provide desk side training upon request for enterprise applications.
• Assist the IT Support team with inventory management of desktops, laptops, printers, and other personal hardware assets.
• Assist the IT Support team with software inventory where required.
• Understand client business needs and match them to technology solutions.
